The N.L.S. is something we have been working on for a year.  The first 2 decks are the N.L.S.40 – more of a versatile symmetrical free-rider / park deck.  It’s hard to peg it as just one thing.  The shorter N.L.S.37 is a directional, more race friendly deck that has a full functional tail.  Both have multiple wheel bases from 20 13/16″ – 24″.
Crush-Weld Process:Â Decks are pressed one at a time in an aluminum mold for tight tolerances under heat, and tremendous pressure. Â There is no glue involved here, the core is bonded with a structural element. Â The bond is stronger than the core material itself, so delams are a non issue. Â The core is pressed between a fibrous material we call Unbeleivium. Â This material can be designed with flex patterns, so we designed this with unusually rigid torsional support. Â This is the holy grail for anything fast. Â You will be a better skateboarder with this deck.
When everything is said and done, this 4 ply core deck is stiffer, and stronger than a typical 9ply without all that weight. Â Because of the process, and technology, we were able to press a full 360 degree concave. Â You can see that the deck holds more than 96 oz of water. Â We pressed a giant bowl. Â The core actually corrugates itself in the kicks under the pressure because it has no place to go. Â One other cool thing about this process is that it is 100% clean and green, recyclable, and made in the USA.
